2008 was the second year of our Mentor-Student Scholarship Night and it was even bigger than the last year.


A lot of fun was had by all—special thanks to Richard Arenas for the Dia de los Muertos history and especially the skulls.


Don’t forget the Student-Mentor Dinner this Thursday, November 1st!
Tonight (10/18) at 6pm in the Puente Center, bring your scholarship and/or transfer application and a draft of your personal statement for a workshop to get the most out of your essay.
Free pizza, time with mentors, and English instructors—don’t miss this opportunity!
Our first Student-Mentor dinner was a lot of fun. Our student workers Jessica Suarez, Miguel Pasillas, Abelardo Espinoza and Neli Moreno put in a lot of extra time to make the night great. Jessica even sang for us!
The first Fall 2007 Student-Mentor dinner is this Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 6:00pm. All new Puente students, set this time aside to meet your mentors and have some fun. Come 15 minutes early so we can seat eveyone and get started right away.
